The Fragile Families and Child Wellbeing Study (FFCWS) at Columbia University School of Social Work is seeking a postdoctoral scholar with a PhD in economics, public policy, demography, social work, sociology, or a related discipline to work with the FFCWS team (including Jeanne Brooks-Gunn, Irv Garfinkel, Ronald Mincy, Julien Teitler, and Jane Waldfogel at Columbia and Kathy Edin at Princeton).
The postdoc will conduct analyses of youth and family wellbeing, drawing on the age 22 wave (currently in progress) as well as earlier waves, with a special focus on system-involved youth and a cross-cutting focus on racial inequalities and structural racism. Outcomes of interest include education, employment, housing, income, relationships, family formation, identity, and health, as well as intergenerational mobility/persistence.
The postdoctoral fellowship is for two years. Start date is flexible but ideally would be in September 2022.
